Winter Has Arrived In Winnipeg

Our first snow fall, it's November 19, we had our first real snow fall yesterday! How great is that? I am reading about winter freindly caches! We will have to try it, but I am thinking that I am a fair weather cacher.

For those of us who are fair weather cachers this treasure hunt may be of interest to you. The hunt started in Sept, and it ends on March 31, 2012. You need to buy the book to read about, and solve the clues using google earth. If you enjoy puzzle solving and geography this may be for you! Follow the link in the post title for more information. First Find Valour 3

We braved the cold Manitoba winds to go in search of our first find. We did some unnecessary walking and managed to get a little chilly but in the end we found the cache quite easily. How excited we were for "our first find"!
On our weather front, it just seemed cold because we were not prepared for the extra walking we did. I am writing this on November 5 and our daytime temps have been holding just into the double digits celcius so we are very grateful for this extra time without snow.
