Morinville Geocaching Day 2

And Then There Were 3!

Saturday brought another beautiful day, although the wind was a little chilly today but temperture was probably the low +'s, +3 or 4? The girl half of K&Ccache and Provit and myself headed out to pick up a few caches.  Morinville has nice paved trails from the street to the parks, so we headed to the park on one of the trails and slugged it through the snow, which was quite hard going!  We got to the first cache which we thought should be in a tree, but after the 3 of us searching for what seemed like a long time we decided to give it up, thinking that maybe the cache was gone.  Our next target was another one at the other end of this park and so we headed to it.  This one was in a tree as well, again the 3 of us searched and expanded our area and we came up empty.  We saw where we thought this one should be but there was no cache to be found.  Oh man this is getting a little discouraging, we don't mind not finding one, but two in a row is just too much for us! So we head to the next spot which is another little park, it is amazing just how many little parks that towns have.  We would never discover them unless we were involved in an activity such as geocaching.  Provit found this one easily.  My GPS was sending me on a little wild goose chase but Provits smartphone took her right to it.  It was a micro placed in a tree as well.

Yeahhh! We know that at least we will not be skunked today!  Now its time to head over to our next geocache, this one should be quite easy, it seems to be on or around the cemetary gate.  It's a nano, so we would think that it should be magnetic and on metal.  But we have found out that just because it is magnetic does not mean that it's on metal!  So the 3 of us searched and searched on the gate, on the trees, on the ground and expanded our search.  Some people were calling this one a drive up and grab! We just came up empty.  We went back to this cache 2 more times and came up empty each time. Then we came back once with the guy half of K&Ccache and Chicksteroo and we came up empty as well.   I have put a watch on this listing, I am just about certain that it is MIA!
The Three Muskateers!
This is on a golf course
that K&Ccache golfs at.
This is the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church.  It is a grande looking building built in 1907, click on the link for more information.
I am adding a few pictures that I took on our way into Edmonton earlier in the day.
This was the back yard of an
acreage that is for sale.

Have fun caching
